Happy New Year and welcome back to my channel everyone! Today I want to talk about love doll skeletons. The skeleton is a crucial component of full-sized love dolls and is gaining popularity in torso love dolls as well.

The skeleton provides a realistic anatomy and allows for movement. It serves as the framework for TPE and silicone materials to securely stick together and enables the doll to be posed in different positions.

There are three main parts of the doll skeleton: the Torso Skeleton, the Feet Skeleton, and the Hand/Finger Skeleton.

Main Skeleton

The most common and premium type of love doll body skeleton is the EVO skeleton, also known as the yoga or double ball-jointed skeleton. It offers enhanced flexibility and a wider range of poses.

While the EVO skeleton is popular, it comes at a higher cost compared to the basic version. Some customers still prefer the basic skeleton due to concerns about excessive flexibility and potential damage to internal wiring.

Feet Skeleton

Now, let’s take a closer look at these fabulous feet skeletons! As extensions of the torso skeleton, they give customers the opportunity to customize their dolls. Typically, standing feet come with three metal bolts at the bottom and a joint for the big toe at the top. The toes with joints offer great flexibility and movement, while the ones without can be a bit floppy.

Excitingly, some brands have started adding articulation to all the toes, providing even better posing options and stabilizing those previously floppy toes. Although this feature is still relatively new and rare in the current doll market, it shows promising potential.

But wait, there’s an innovative trend on the horizon! Manufacturers are now crafting standing feet with hardened materials, eliminating the need for exposed metal bolts. This not only enhances the doll’s aesthetics but also offers a sleeker and more realistic look. However, it’s important to note that this advancement is currently limited to a select range of silicon love doll models and doesn’t directly involve the skeleton itself.

These developments in feet skeletons demonstrate the ongoing dedication of doll companies to improve the overall experience. With more posing options and aesthetically pleasing designs, doll enthusiasts can create even more lifelike and captivating scenes.

Hand Skeleton

Now, let’s dive into the fascinating world of finger skeletons!

When it comes to finger types in today’s love doll market, articulated fingers are the clear winner and are considered the second generation of finger skeletons.

The first-generation fingers were wired fingers, which lacked stability, and anatomical accuracy, and were prone to poking through the finger skin. In one of my previous doll review videos, I demonstrated how wired fingers moved in an unnatural way.

Articulated fingers revolutionized the industry by offering improved posing options and durability, especially for hand-support postures. However, they still have their limitations, such as the potential for skin piercing and imperfect anatomical resemblance.

In 2023, WM introduced their new generation hand skeleton: the ball-jointed fingers.

This patented hand skeleton features a more durable and anatomically correct design. The new socket design enhances durability, and the rounder, thicker finger ends reduce the likelihood of poking through the skin.

Comparing the new hand skeleton with articulated fingers side by side, you’ll notice the improved anatomical correctness, particularly when making a fist. However, the new skeleton falls short in parting the fingers compared to the second-generation hand skeleton.

Currently, the market is still dominated by second-generation hand skeletons. Even after WM introduced their third-generation hand skeleton, they continue to offer their second-generation skeletons due to demand, cost efficiency, and parting capability.

It’s important to note that articulated fingers have size limitations and are typically compatible with dolls over 140cm in size. Developing smaller hands with smaller components is more challenging, so smaller dolls may not have articulated finger options.

While articulated fingers add to the cost compared to wired fingers, they have become an area where white-label or budget brands cut costs. I strongly recommend opting for at least second-generation articulated hands regardless of where you purchase your doll, if conditions allow. You won’t regret it.

Overall, love doll skeletons have undergone significant development in recent years. While they may not be perfect, they continue to improve realism and functionality. I’m excited to see what advancements the future holds!
