TPE or silicone skin is extremely flexible and will sustain almost any reasonable position. There are some positions that are more stressful on both the skin flesh and the internal joints. Most dolls cannot be placed into extreme postures such as “twisted into a pretzel,” compressed into a tight fetal position, or squeezed into a small storage area, and expected not to break or tear. These dolls are designed to be posed in positions that are natural and painless for most adults. Over-straining a joint can result in a break. We do not recommend leaving the elbows crooked or the knees bent for extended periods of time because the TPE or silicone skin on the backs of the elbows and the tops of the knees can tear.
